The Athletics have agreed to trade LeBron James and the $21,000,000 in salary being paid to him by Phoenix and Russell Westbrook $18,400,000 (2022) to the Bombers in exchange for CJ McCollum $16,000,000 (2022) & Carmelo Anthony $1,500,000 (2021).
The addition of CJ will complement our young and speedy squad, while Carmelo brings leadership and guidance. Russell, although a superstar, his age is beginning to show, while Lebron is a superstar, he adds no value to the team this year and based on his brash behavior in the locker room, the team has no interest in re-signing him next year.
We wish them well.

The Blue Bombers are going to miss CJ, as he has provided this organization with some great leadership and brought balance to the team. Melo has been a member of this squad for the last few years and has been a steady contributor as well.
It was near impossible to let this opportunity slide by without taking a chance. This year will see our cap almost to the max but are we are willing to take that chance. The addition of LeBron and Russell could just not be turned down. We feel this gives us a chance to make a strong run and makes this organization an immediate championship contender.

Will just post some reasons here for my decision due to all the comments from league chat.
Also note that mods will discuss a way to stop a GM from paying whole salary of another player as part of a deal. We can implement those changes next season. This rule can not just be changed immediately. This is still relatively new league and we can keep working on improving the structure of it as we go along.
Marc has every right to move Lebron and offering to pay his salary under current league rules. The money simply has to move from Tony to Matt. (from previous Lebron and Bam deal)
In this trade, Marc gets a younger player that he likes going forward in CJ and he also gets rid of that brutal Westbrook contract, which would be impossible to move unless there were incentives such as Lebron rental involved. He also obtains an expiring contract in Melo which can be used for one of the draft picks he has coming up in draft.
2-0
