The Berlin Nuggets offer Klay Thompson 4 years, with the final year being an option at $11,500,000.

1-2 I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass here, but I said that it needed to be more money or a shorter contract. Agreed, one million is more money but it has to be more than that. I feel like he should be getting offered a contract in the area of Devin Booker (if you want him for 4 years). 2 or 3 year contract, I could settle for a bit less money.

It's still not close. This player does not accept an 7 million dollar a year pay decrease for 5 years. I just don't think it's reasonable. I understand Berlin's reluctance to pay him more for an injury year, but that is not one of the things we need to consider. I can't imagine a player of his caliber taking a 35 million dollar pay cut for 3/4 season injury.I sympathize with Berlin, because I don't think I'd sign him for a short contract either, but that's a team decision, not a player/agent/mod decision. It isn't our job to determine how a player's contract fits with the goals or reality of a team's payroll situation, just whether it's a reasonable salary for that player to accept. I concur with Matty that it would take something similar to Booker for 5 years or me to accept, or a shorter contract for the currently offered money.
